Youth Speak: Budget 2021 is a free virtual event hosted by the City of Victoria in partnership with the City of Victoria Youth Council to give Victoria youth an opportunity get involved with their local government and ask questions to Council about the City’s Draft 2021 Budget during the Virtual Budget Town Hall.

Youth between the ages of 14 and 24 who live, work or attend school in the City of Victoria are invited to pre-register below. A maximum of 15 youth will be able to participate in the virtual event and will be given an event link ahead of time. Pre-registration will be first come-first served.

An online application form will be available here starting Monday, December 14. The deadline to apply is midnight Friday, January 8, 2021. Each of the 15 youth will be provided a $15 gift card to a local restaurant for their participation.

The Public Input Summary on the 2021 Draft Financial Plan will be presented to Council for discussion. The meeting will be webcast live.

Budget 2021 will be finalized at the end of April when BC Assessment finalizes its property assessments for the year.
