  • Are there going to be any wider/double lanes or more accessible parking areas for cars in these new upgrades? Upgrades we actually need for drivers? All your saying is that you are going to make the roads safer, which is a cop out. And you have already screwed that up, implementing a 30km/hr speed limit is going to cause people who would not normally have road rage to have road rage, having all these ridiculous bike obstacles on the road is going to cause more accidents for bikes and drivers alike. Its almost like Victoria wants to get rid of the middle class driving cars, and therefore getting rid of the 'middle class population' and expanding the gap between a very poor and a very rich population.

Thanks for the question. As we are still in the engagement phase, designs for each of the corridors have no been done. We will be reviewing and analyzing all input soon and using the results to help inform designs. Upgrades like accessible parking are definitely a consideration for these projects. Let us know what features you want to see in the survey- accessible parking is an option in question 3.

  • Will access and parking on Tolmie Avenue be restricted during upgrades?

    Hi there,

Thanks for the question. As we are still in the engagement phase, the timing and impact of construction for each corridor has not yet been determined, but yes, there will be some impact to access and parking during construction.

If you subscribe to updates for the project, we will provide an opportunity to sign up for construction updates when we get closer to a construction start date.
